Flyone Armenia Expanded Fleet and MRO Capabilities

Flyone Armenia strengthened its operational capabilities in June 2026 by adding another aircraft and inaugurating its first line maintenance station at Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport.


  • Airbus A321 joined the fleet, bringing the number of owned aircraft to 11 and total A320-family aircraft to 15

  • SIL Technics line maintenance station was launched in partnership with Cyprus-based Bird Aviation

  • The new facility will provide EASA-standard maintenance services for both domestic and international airlines


Uzbekistan Air Cargo Volumes Surged

Uzbekistan recorded strong growth in air cargo activity during the first quarter of 2026, reflecting rising demand for air freight services.


  • Air cargo volumes reached 24,300 tons in January–March 2026, up 70% year-on-year

  • Cargo traffic increased by 10,400 tons compared with the first quarter of 2025

  • Passenger traffic also grew 4.7%, reaching 2.3 million travelers during the same period



Uzbekistan Set Q1 Passenger Record

Uzbekistan's airlines transported a record number of passengers in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting continued growth in the country's aviation sector.


  • Air transport carried 2.2 million passengers between January and March 2026

  • Marks the highest first-quarter result since at least 2020, when passenger traffic stood at 0.6 million

  • Passenger volumes have steadily increased from 1.0 million in Q1 2022 to 1.7 million in Q1 2024–2025 and 2.2 million in Q1 2026


New Tashkent Airport Project Approved

Uzbekistan Airports and a Saudi Arabia-led consortium signed a 35-year PPP agreement on 17 June 2026 to build and operate the new Tashkent International Airport, with operations scheduled to begin in late 2030.


  • Initial capacity is designed for 20 million passengers and 300,000 tons of cargo annually

  • Phase one includes two 4,000-meter runways, a 208,000 sqm terminal, and 98 aircraft stands

  • The project aims to strengthen Uzbekistan's position as a regional transit and logistics hub
